Our story

It started with a barn. The cow came later.

In 2024 we bought a retired dairy barn on Meadow Lane with a simple plan: good desks, great coffee, fiber internet, and the kind of light you only get through hayloft windows. We put "pet-friendly — cows welcome" on the sign because it made us laugh, and because the building's previous tenants had been, well, cows.

Then Marta called our bluff and arrived with Bessie. We said yes — partly on principle, mostly out of curiosity — and spent a month learning what a workspace really needs when its members range from four kilograms to six hundred. Wider walkways. Power from the ceiling. Standing desks that mean it.

Here's the thing: every change we made for Bessie made the space better for humans too. That accidental lesson became our design philosophy, our pet policy, and eventually our name.
